Welcome to Sex Therapy New Zealand

We are a nationwide counselling service for anyone seeking help with intimacy and sexuality concerns.  We are also a referral network for clinicians seeking expert help for their patients and clients.

Our team comprises psychologists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists and highly trained counsellors. Click here to read about us and how we can help.

Our mission is to promote life enhancing intimacy and sexuality by providing best practice assessment, effective therapy and the delivery of education programmes.  We also participate in research and work to raise public awareness through the media.

Coronavirus/Covid 19

Sex Therapy New Zealand is committed to maintaining the health and wellbeing of both our clients and therapists during this uncertain time. While we strive to meet client needs with appropriate flexibility, we are also committed to following Governmental advice and guidelines and the guidelines of our respective professional bodies.

In view of the current Level1 status and the continued recommendation for health professionals to use caution and continue to use telehealth facilities wherever possible, some of our therapists may still choose not to meet in person, and will continue to provide therapy via remote services. If you have an appointment booked, or book a new appointment, the therapist will be in touch, to discuss what might be most appropriate. New referrals are welcome, and every consideration will be given to urgent referrals and urgent situations.

Please note: During Covid levels 1 - 4, therapists working throughout the country may offer Skype, Zoom or Doxy.me video consultations, when face to face appointments are not recommended due to Covid level, or personal health, requirements. During these periods, the fee for video consultations will be at the same fee as the face to face option.

We wish all visitors to our site and all our clients, continuing good health.

Please check our website regularly for any further developments when or if Covid levels change.

Due to the nature of our work, Sex Therapy NZ is unable to respond to emergency  situations. Please contact your local medical provider.
