I am a member of both the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and the Association of Occupational and registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and the New Zealand Council for Educational Research which allows her to conduct formal assessments at the C Special level. 

I have been specialising in working with couples and individuals with emotional and sexual intiamcy problems since I completed my training in 2006. Thanks to my broad clinical, psychological and teaching experience and training, I am able to combine the more psychological, psychosocial and psycho-educational approaches of counselling and psychology with the functional approach of occupational therapyto provide a very effectiveform of therapy for emotional and sexual intiamcy problems. 

My early training and experience was very broad and I have been working in counselling, health and disability related fields since I  graduated in 1983. Although, MY early work was with families that were struggling to cope with either alcohol abuse and its’ attendant problems or with anxiety, depression, compulsive and personality disorders or serious physical disability, I also taught community based counselling courses, Neurology, Kinesiology and clinical practice to Occupational Therapy students in Wellington and the National Certificate in Human Services course at Bay of Plenty Polytechnic..
